Bukal Falls also known at Kilangin Falls, is located at the foot of Mt. Banahaw and is boardering Liliw-Majayjay. The waterfalls is said to have clear, icy waters and a 30 minute trekking according to a local we met in Laguna who generously gave us a contact number for a tour guide.

The next day, Mitch and I, made preparations for the trip, with our 2 girl friends, Jernie and Lhay (who lives in Laguna) in tow and bought 3 big bottles of water and some food good for 4 (thinking we'll eat there), then contacted the local tour guide and traveled to Majayjay as planned. At 10:30AM, we were able to reach the Bukal Brgy. Hall; our tour guide was already there and we were given instructions to Register and pay Environmental Fee (?)

Note: A tour guide is much recommended for you cannot go there without someone to guide you to the area. The brgy. officials will not allow you if you do not have one.

Our local tour guide is named, RJ (you can contact him thru 09055952452). He was such a nice guy and was kind enough to offer and bring our big bottles of water, our food and our bag; thinking it'll be only a 30 minute trek, I kindly refused and I just tug the knapsack with me.

After 30 minutes under the heated sun, soon enough we realized its been about almost an hour of trekking and we're still not there. We tried to take shade as much as we can and take turns drinking water while joking on the tiring predicament we're having at the time, since our very own homegrown Laguna friends are very much enjoying the whole trip?! This was their first trekking experience and they were firing us with silly banters "like they already had enough and will just leave us two and head back home)--their bottled water near empty--thus amusing as it may seem regardless how tired they look, these two friend of ours never fail to talk about anything and make jokes every minute along the way.

We got there at around 12 noon.

The place was serene, quiet and calm. The water was surely cold and clear as ever. And Kuya RJ was kind enough to have our bottle filled with the bukal waters as promised.

At the top of the falls you'll see as how nature almost caves in the bottom that somehow it leaves everything below shaded (good for those who wants to wallow on water with not much sun in it), "ehem Mitch!".

The water is pure and refreshing once you've dipped your body into it. Although some parts can be too deep for us to walk through (we're not good swimmers /laughs), good thing Kuya RJ (our knight in shining armor) was there to the rescue and we were able to go to the other side of the falls. Of course, I wouldn't leave without truly enjoying the taste of the waters of Bukal Falls, that I dared to swim to go back to the other side. Kuya RJ was abit concerned if I can do it but I persisted and luckily I'm still alive and reached the other side.

Once we're done, we head back to the other clearing of rocks we first seen where a stream flows and decided to eat there. We gave one of our food to Kuya RJ and the rest of us shared the simple food fest. We took a couple more shots of the place were at before taking the trek home.

The trek going back was a bit more easy. And all of us were appeased. Minutes later we got back to the town and were back to the normal buzz, and noise of traffic. Thinking the surreal calmness of nature and the view of the falls will be missed.
